The 3rd Okinawa Karate Academy will be taking place on October, 22.
The theme of the Academy is “The collection of karate-related materials in the museum’s collection.”
In the world of intangible cultural properties, the techniques and values of craftsmanship can be seen through the works of art, but the approach to karate takes a different approach.
The museum offers a glimpse into the techniques and values of karate through the personal belongings of karate practitioners, training equipment, certificates, letters, weapons, records, and other materials related to karate.
This Academy presents the karate materials in the museum’s collection and discusses the necessity of the museum’s collection.
*Okinawa Karate Academy (6sessions) is scheduled from October 18, 2022 to March 2023.
The program may be cancelled if the facility is closed due to the spread of the new coronavirus.
