New exhibition starts from November 1st

 The Okinawa Prefecture Karate Promotion Division is planning a special exhibition titled "Okinawa karate spreads around the world" at the Okinawa Karate Kaikan. The first Okinawa Karate Academy session for this year

 In order to promote academic research on karate originating in Okinawa, the Okinawa Prefecture Karate Promotion Division will hold research report meetings (6 times in total) on Okinawa Karate.

 The first event will be held on the following dates and contents.

  • Date and time: Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 14:00 to 16:00
  • Location: Okinawa Karate Kaikan
  • Speaker: Yamamoto Masaaki (Okinawa Prefectural Museum and Art Museum Chief Curator)
  • Report theme: The  state of the conflict in the Gusuku period and the actual weapons and armors.
