The Okinawa Prefecture Karate Promotion Division is planning a special exhibition titled "Okinawa karate spreads around the world" at the Okinawa Karate Kaikan. The exhibition is scheduled to be open from November 1st to March 22nd, 2022. For details, please check this double-sided leaflet (PDF).
The Okinawa Prefecture Government is planning a projection mapping show online at four locations within Shuri Castle. The event will also feature karate demonstrations.

In order to promote academic research on karate originating in Okinawa, the Okinawa Prefecture Karate Promotion Division will hold research report meetings (6 times in total) on Okinawa Karate.
The first event will be held on the following dates and contents.
- Date and time: Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 14:00 to 16:00
- Location: Okinawa Karate Kaikan
- Speaker: Yamamoto Masaaki (Okinawa Prefectural Museum and Art Museum Chief Curator)
- Report theme: The state of the conflict in the Gusuku period and the actual weapons and armors.
