The Archives of the Okinawa Karate Kaikan are filled with valuable documents, some exposed, some preserved. Under the supervision of the Okinawa Prefecture Karate promotion division, we will be introducing some of the treasures of the Kaikan’s Archives and Reading room. For the first special feature, we introduce the Brushwork of late Matsumura Sōkon.
In order to promote Okinawa karate and the activities of our information center, we have created a A4 size 3 folded full color leaflet with information in Japanese, English, Spanish, French, Russian and Chinese.
Representatives of the 3 major styles of Okinawa karate, that is to say Shōrin-ryū, Gōjū-ryū, Uechi-ryū and Kobudō have collaborated in this project. We also would like to thank the Okinawa Convention and Visitors Bureau for their support.
This leaflet will be distributed inside and outside the prefecture in public facilities and during events and fairs.
Here are the two sides of the leaflet in PDF version PDF-1 PDF-2
