Karate Day” will take place soon

In March 2005, the Okinawa Prefectural Assembly passed a resolution to declare the 25th of October “Karate Day”, and Karate Day Inagual Dedication Performance take place every year on October 25th at the Okinawa Karate Kaikan (special dojo). In addition, a “Karate Day” Commemorative Performance festival is held on Kokusai Dori in Naha. Due to the prevention of the spread of coronavirus, this year’s Karate Day Inagual Dedication Peformance at Karate Kaikan is limited to invited guests only.

Commemorative Performance to Spread the Value of Okinawan Karate

The “Karate Day” Commemorative Demonstration Festival will take place on November 3 (Thu) to spread the spirit of peace through Okinawan karate, the “martial art of peace,” and to contribute to world peace and human well-being, as well as to promote the appeal of Okinawan karate widely in Japan and abroad.
