Help us name a new character for Okinawa Karate and win a prize!
The Okinawa Dento Karate Do Shinkokai has introduced a unique character for Okinawa karate.
The purpose of this character is to enhance the familiarity and accessibility of Okinawan karate to the public, aiming to establish it as the traditional culture of Okinawa, the birthplace of karate.
We are currently seeking a name for this character.
This character is inspired by the Iriomote Yamaneko.
Submission Period:
From Monday, November 6, 2023, to Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

Eligibility:
Open to anyone residing in Okinawa Prefecture.
Number of Entries:
Limit one entry per person.
Awards:
Winners will receive a certificate of merit and a gift certificate worth 10,000 yen.
Awards Ceremony:
An awards ceremony will be held to honor the naming contest winners.
Terms and Conditions of Entry:
Entries must be original creations of the applicants and must not have been previously published.
The copyright and other intellectual property rights of the selected name will be owned by the Okinawa Dento Karate Do Shinkokai.
In case the applicant’s email address or phone number is unknown or cannot be reached, the application will be considered invalid.
If more than one person suggests the same adopted name, a random drawing will determine the winner.
